A Netflix documentary, "The Buffet Formula" for learning, the rise of burnout on Youtube, Tim Ferriss on Colin and Samir show, and a quote from Warren Buffett.
Hello friends đ
I'm Igor, and welcome to my weekly newsletter where I highlight the five coolest things I've discovered this week.
Each week I explore questions about building a business, personal growth, philosophy, movies, music, gadgets, working with humans, and anything else that piques my curiosity. If you like what you read, donât hesitate to pass it along to your friends and consider subscribing.
Netflix show Iâm watching
For a few months during Covid time, watching nature documentaries with my parents was a night-time ritual. Even though we're in different countries now, I still love watching movies about nature and sharing them with my parents. It's a comforting reminder of those days.
One of my top picks is Our Planet II, narrated by the incomparable David Attenborough. âIt unravels the mysteries of how and why animals migrate to reveal some of the most dramatic and compelling stories in the natural world.â

Why burnout happens on YouTube
Emma Chamberlain, the YouTube sensation with a whopping 12 million subscribers, is hitting the pause button. Not just because she wants to, but because she really needs it. In this video, Colin and Samir dive into the 'why' behind YouTube burnout, and brainstorm what creators and YouTube itself can do to make things better.
Podcast episode Iâm listening
Tim Ferriss has been a big influence on me. From hosting a myriad of fascinating guests on his show to me curating this newsletter, which, let's face it, is inspired by his "5 Bullet Friday". More often than not, he's the one asking the questions, so it's a rare treat to hear him on the other side of the mic. Lucky for us, Colin and Samir managed to bring him onto their show. You can give it a listen here. If you're short on time, I've summarised some key points below.
Credibility is a scarce and valuable resource.
Many creatives lack the necessary lifestyle boundaries to successfully undertake their projects.
Audience influence is powerful, but creators must stay true to themselves, even if it risks alienating some followers.
Practice "fear setting" to anticipate and manage potential challenges.

Quote Iâm pondering
âCharlie, as a very young lawyer, was probably getting $20 an hour. He thought to himself, âWhoâs my most valuable client?â And he decided it was himself. So he decided to sell himself an hour each day. He did it early in the morning, working on these construction projects and real estate deals. Everybody should do this, be the client, and then work for other people, too, and sell yourself an hour a day.â
â Warren Buffett
Until we meet again next week đ Here's to a week filled with purpose and joy!
